You may find lot of players out there which are capable of playing video and loading subtitles with it. But most of the Windows lovers like to still using Windows Media Player to watch movies and listen to music etc. One of the main problem which most of users face with WMP is, how to load subtitles.
We have tired of complicated fixes and patches like renaming of dlls, patching EXE's to get the subtitle to work, etc. Some may have worked but most of these processes are dangerous as it can break the player to other codecs installed.
I have found a easy and hassle free method to get the subtitles to work on Windows Media Player.
- First uninstall all the Codec players like K-lite, VLC, KM Player etc, and reboot the system
- Then Download Shark Codec 007 for Windows 7 (There are 2 edition for 32-bit and 64-bit OS)
- Install Shark Codec 007
- Open Shark Codec setting from All Programs
- There you'll find a check box which says “Shark 007 SUGGESTED settings“
- Enable that check box and reboot the system once
- Now you should be able to load subtitle without any problem

Hope this helps!
