Installing TeamViewer in Solus

TeamViewer is not available in the Solus Software Center. You can install TeamViewer on Solus by using command lines via the Terminal.

Method 1: Using the command-line approach

Step 1: Launch 'Terminal'.

Step 2: Copy and paste the following command into Terminal and hit enter.

sudo eopkg bi --ignore-safety https://raw.githubusercontent.com/solus-project/3rd-party/master/network/util/teamviewer/pspec.xml

This command fetches the TeamViewer installer from Solus official Github page.

Step 3: Enter the following command to install the downloaded TeamViewer file.

sudo eopkg it teamviewer*.eopkg

Step 4: After installation is done, start the TeamViewer service by entering the following command in the Terminal.

sudo systemctl start teamviewerd.service

Step 5: If the program is launching excellent, you can get rid of the temporary installer file that was downloaded earlier. Enter the following command:

sudo rm teamviewer*.eopkg
